How To Fix "No Sim/Network and Unknown IMEI" In Samsung
Many people were/are facing the Unknown IMEI , No Network Issue after flashing the Lineage Oreo rom or other custom roms on their Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005 HLTE Model)…

After installing a custom rom on Samsung Galaxy Note 3 HLTE version, when you will try to check phone carrier by imei, you would see that your sim card imei number is showing as either null/invalid or unknown…

I had the same problem with my phone & I have resolved it so thought about sharing it with all of you guys facing this same problem…This procedure will also restore the network access back to other Samsung Smartphones with Custom Rom…

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 HLTE version…So, here are the steps…

1) Backup your EFS using TWRP first…

2) After you install Lineage Oreo rom, your EFS/IMEI partition will/may get corrupted & you will end up with a No-Sim issue…

3) Download the latest version of Odin…I've attached it if you don't already have it…

4) Download the BL & CP from the below links…

I am uploading the Nordic BL & CP here on my Google drive…

5) Power Off the phone & REMOVE THE BATTERY FOR atleast 2 minutes…This is important…

6) Enter Download Mode by pressing & holding Volume Down + Power + Home Keys simultaneously…

7) Open Odin, Un-check the Auto-Reboot option & leave the F. Reset Time Checked…

8) Put CP in CP & press Start…

9) After Odin finishes flashing the new CP/Modem & you get a Green Pass in Odin, hold down the Volume down/Power/Home keys again & manually enter into Download mode again…

10) Now put the BL in BL field & press Start again…

11) After it finishes flashing, restart your phone & check if you got your network back or not…

THESE TWO BL & CP ARE ONLY FOR THE HLTE N9005 Note 3…Do NOT Flash these on any other version of Note 3…

This procedure solved my No-Sim & Unknown IMEI issue so thought about sharing, as I saw a lot of people are facing this problem after upgrading to Lineage Oreo rom…

After following this procedure, Please check phone carrier by imei & you will see that your sim card imei number is now back & the network services are restored which you can also confirm by seeing that, now you can see the signal bars on your phone's top status bar…

You can enter *#*#4636#*#* in your phone's dialer & check the IMEI, your phone number & the connectivity details…I know you can check the IMEI from the settings menu too but this one is easy because all the details are in one place…

[I have done this procedure to fix my HLTE Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but you can do this to resurrect any Samsung Galaxy Smartphone with Custom rom which has this No-Sim or unknown IMEI issue…Make sure you use proper Bootloader (BL) & Modem (CP) files corresponding to your Smartphone variant…]
